What to include
A quote comes back faster when the first email carries these. None of them are required.
- The requirement in plain language, plus drawings or a statement of work if you have them.
- The NAICS or PSC code you intend to use, or the WEBS commodity code if you are a Washington agency.
- Required delivery or performance date.
- The buying path you expect to use, for example purchase card micro-purchase, simplified acquisition, or Direct Buy.
- Whether a site visit or field measure is needed, and any base access requirements.

Washington State purchasing agents
Direct Buy levels and the Washington entity record are on the Washington page. If you post under a WEBS commodity code that is not on our code list, send it and it gets added to the registration.
Prime contractors
Subcontracting plan seats, teaming arrangements, and millwork packages inside a larger construction or renovation award. A team seat needs no certification to start and converts to a credited SDVOSB seat once VetCert issues.
What you can expect back
Within one business day. An acknowledgement that says whether the requirement is in our lane. If it is not, that is the whole reply, and it will name someone better suited if we know one.
Within three to five business days. A written quote for a defined requirement, or a list of the specific questions that are blocking one.
Never. A pursuit of work this firm cannot actually perform. A missed delivery date is more expensive to a contracting officer than a declined quote, and it is the fastest way to never be called again.
